More about the device:

This device is a must for every K9. It will alert the officer if the vehicle gets too hot when the K9 is inside, it will activate a fan, roll down the windows and honk the horn drawing attention to the vehicle. In addition, the officer will have a button on his/her duty belt, the officer can press if they need emergency help from the K9. This button will allow the door to pop open and the K9 can assist the officer such as during a struggle or foot pursuit.

K9 HEAT ALARM® Pro and K9 Door Popper® system. The unit monitors vital components including temperature sensors, vehicle battery voltage, and engine stall. The information is shown on a 32-character backlit alphanumeric display. If an alarm condition is detected, the unit will activate a S.O.S. Horn Honk signal, siren and light-bar activation, and dual window drop. The K9 Door Popper releases your K-9 partner from the vehicle to be by your side in an emergency situation. A special Door Pop Stopper feature disables the K9 Door Popper when the vehicle is in gear. The systems come complete with long range digital transceiver with nylon case, external antenna, wiring, and assorted hardware. Software based features allow for future upgrades.
